‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ preview: Kim Fields’ brunch takes a turn for the worse

It’s unfortunate that it almost always comes to this any time than one of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” chooses to throw a party. For one reason or another, there is always some sort of argument that comes out.

The sneak peek below for Sunday night’s new episode is ultimately so stuffed with nonsense that we find the majority of it to be utterly hilarious. Here’s what we are dealing with here: Kim Fields decides to hold a makeup-free brunch to promote natural beauty, only to have Kenya Moore and others blast what her definition of it is, and also describe why they are not comfortable not going out without having makeup on. From here, they somehow then decide that Kim’s party is somehow a secret code for her telling them that they wear too much makeup.

Wait … what? How in the world did this come up as a part of the conversation? It’s both insane and also absurd to think that this is where we were going, and yet here we are. It feels mostly likely people just trying to pick a fight; Kim’s whole pledge and idea probably is not for everyone, but to suggest that she was being malicious or attacking someone in any way is kind of absurd.

Unfortunately, we would say in the end that this is just pure drama for drama’s sake, but it does accent what Kim’s biggest problem is right now as a cast member: She cannot find a way to fit in with this group. All of these women have strong opinions on one thing or another, and they are ultimately rather tough to crack as a result.
