The second half of “Once Upon a Time” is going to be coming your way starting on March 6, and there of course will be many questions almost right away about the Underworld. How could there not be when you consider the circumstances? Over the course of a very short period of time characters have to figure out who is present in that world, and then also at the same time whether or not there is something that could be done in order to escape or bring select people back.
So what about Neal? It’d be crazy to not at least mention Michael-Raymond James when talking about this new dimension of the show. He is an important part of the series as Henry’s father, and at the same time he also happens to be popular among some fans still. He’s gone but not forgotten, and it has already been confirmed that the Underworld is not necessarily just for bad people who are waiting a trip somewhere else.
Speaking to TVLine, co-creator Edward Kitsis would neither confirm nor deny that Neal is going to be in the world … but the question will still be asked:
“I would think that it would be very disappointing for Emma to go down there and not have somebody talk about Neal.”
While we’re not sure that we need to revisit the Neal character for more than just a single episode (it would be a chance to have him wish Emma well or see just how he has coped since his death in the real world), but this would be a cream cameo to add to the list. Make it happen!
