‘The Blacklist’ season 3 spoilers: What ‘Lady Ambrosia’ means to Liz, Tom, and Red
Are we back to business as usual on “The Blacklist”? It’s hard to answer that question, largely because it is rather hard to define necessarily what “business as usual” for this show really is. It is one that has a habit of constantly reinventing itself and bringing new ideas to the table. We went from Liz working with the FBI in seasons one and two to being on the run, and while she may now be free from prison, she’s not an agent anymore. She’s much more like Red than she ever was previously, and now has to figure out her own way in the world.
Luckily for her, we can at least report that she will continue to work with the task force in some capacity, even if it is on some sort of as-needed basis. Based on the synopsis below from the February 11 episode “Lady Ambrosia,” it certainly seems as though she’ll be needed then:
“After a missing child that has been presumed dead turns up alive, Red (James Spader) and Liz (Megan Boone) work with the task force to search for a dangerous woman who may be kidnapping children. Meanwhile, Tom (Ryan Eggold) faces shocking consequences after his plan to help Liz goes awry.”
In regards tom Tom, here’s the question that we have: How in the world are these “consequences” going to be any more or less shocking than any we have seen so far? For this character in particular this feels more like just the name of the game. He’s never going to be in a position where he can skip in a field of flowers to the end of the series.

The biggest mystery in the show is why Tom loves Liz and is so willing to place himself in danger for her.
