‘The X Factor’ UK runners-up Reggie ‘N Bollie sign with Simon Cowell

Reggie -

Officially, there is no longer any reason to be concerned about Reggie ‘N Bollie’s immediate recording future. Months after competing on this past season of “The X Factor” in the UK, the duo have been signed to Simon Cowell’s Syco label. There were questions for some time regarding whether or not this was going to happen, especially since it was clear almost from the moment that Louisa Johnson made top ten that she would be signed. (She eventually won, so of course signing her was an easy choice.)

In a new statement confirming the news, the two singers / performers had the following to say:

“We are so happy to be joining the Syco Music family and releasing our record with them. It is, literally, a dream come true for us to now do what we love for a living. We promise to work hard and show you all what Reggie and Bollie are made of. Here’s to a fun 2016.”

We never said that these guys were the best singers in the world, but what made them so great is that they were almost the anti-“X Factor” act. They were so much fun that their energy was infectious, and they had a real knack for coming up with interesting twists on songs that would appeal to the public. Their take on “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction (set to the backing music of “Cheerleader”) remains one of the coolest musical innovations we’ve seen on the show. Ultimately, we are very curious to see what they can do next.
