There are many reasons to be excited about the upcoming “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” but one of the biggest ones for “Jonah Hex” fans is the idea of getting to see the legendary character from the Old West on TV. Sure, the feature film didn’t quite work out, but this is an opportunity to do the part right with executive producers who have developed quite a knack for the years for figuring out how to bring comic-book characters to life, even if they don’t exactly have the biggest mainstream following.
With that in mind, check out some casting news! “Star-Crossed” and “Ray Donovan” actor Johnathon Schaech has been cast in the role, which will be taking place in his signature setting where some of the Legends will pay him a visit. It’s not entirely clear just how big of a role the character is going to play beyond just a single episode, but it will be great to see him for however long that the character ends up showing up.
The biggest thing working against seeing more of Hex is merely the fact that we are only going to spend so much time in this particular time period; the whole story for this show is about people moving through time, so we will probably go to some point in the distant future to help make up for the fact that we are spending so much time in the past.
The season premiere of “Legends of Tomorrow” is airing in two days, so we’ll have some further news about that in the very-near future!
