‘Madam Secretary’ season 2, episode 13 preview: How will Henry handle family tragedy?

Madam -

Given that Elizabeth McCord is the woman at the center of “Madam Secretary,” it should not surprise you that the majority of the episodes revolve mostly around her first and foremost. However, when the show returns to CBS on January 31, it will be doing so with an episode entitled “Invasive Species” that is going to put more of Henry’s own family life in the spotlight. Kate Burton is going to be guest-starring as his sister, who will be personally upset with him over the strain that his job put on their family following a family tragedy.

Ultimately, the synopsis below really spells this one out:

“After his father’s death, Henry’s family uncovers shocking secrets that open old wounds for them, including his grieving sister Maureen (Kate Burton), who blames Henry for not spending enough time at home.  Also, Russell keeps important information from Elizabeth’s team at the State department.”

What Henry is going to be going through in this story is something fairly similar to what many busy people go through; heck, you could even draw a parallel between this and what happened on Sunday’s episode with some of the McCord’s neighbors wanting them out. There are many downsides that go along with having such a busy schedule, and it can force people all around you to live more on your terms … which of course is something that not everyone either wants to do or has the ability to.

We should have some more news on this episode in due time, but we imagine that there will be a lion’s share of emotional moments along the way.
