‘Elementary’ season 4, episode 9 preview: What does Morland want with Joan?

ElementaryIf there’s one thing that we’ve come to know about Morland Holmes through “Elementary” season 4 so far, it is that he makes Sherlock Holmes suspicious and then some. It may even be an understatement still to describe it in such a way. The man makes his son’s skin crawl, and we can only imagine that this the idea of him wanting to invite Joan out to dinner would not please him. After all, what does he want with her? That’s one of the mysteries that you could see in next week’s new episode “Murder Ex Machina,” which another one simply being whether or not Joan is going to tell Sherlock about the invite to begin with.

If you’re not so interested in this story, rest assured that the synopsis below also offers up some further insight in regards to what the case-of-the-week for this episode is going to be:

“Holmes and Watson search for a computer hacker responsible for three murders, including the death of a Russian billionaire who was visiting New York City. Also, Joan is surprised to receive a solo dinner invitation from Sherlock’s father.”

We have a great deal of curiosity revolving around how all of this is going to unfold, and also where the story will take us moving into February sweeps. This is not a show to give us just a flurry of stories that are going to progress from one week to the next, but if there was a time to do it, this is it.
