‘Downton Abbey’ season 6, episode 3 preview (PBS): The Mr. Carson – Mrs. Hughes wedding is here!

For those of you wondering when the big “Downton Abbey” wedding of Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes was going to take place, wait no more! We can now tell you that this wedding will be a key storyline in next week’s all-new episode on PBS after we’ve spent the past two weeks building up to it by wrestling through some of the characters’ various insecurities about the occasion, including just where the wedding will be held.

We do not want to give too much away in regards to the occasion, but we hope that it will be the culmination in the story for these two characters in the way in which many of you out there hope that it will be. There will be some romance, some happiness, but of course some drama surrounding it, as well. (This is, after all, a show where these sort of things do happen more often than not, and you have to more or less be prepared for them.)

By the end of the episode, let’s just say that there will also more than likely be one event that many fans are talking about, which could shape much of the rest of the season when it comes to how characters interact. Fun times are ahead!

As for whether or not this is the only wedding you are going to have on the final season of the show, we’re not saying; however, we are glad that the writers chose to not drag this particular engagement on. After all, there are still many great stories to tell for these two after they tie the knot.
