‘The Good Wife’ season 7, episode 11 video: A fantastic Julianna Margulies – Margo Martindale scene

The Good WifeSunday night’s new episode of “The Good Wife” is all about Iowa, but we also imagine that for those working on the show it is also a great opportunity to put Julianna Margulies and Margo Martindale in a scene together so that the two can go toe-to-toe. They’re two of the finest TV actors working today, and this had to be a dream for Robert and Michelle King the moment that the popular “character actress” (hooray for “BoJack Horseman” references!) was cast on the show.

There’s not really that much to actually describe about the sneak peek below other than that Alicia and Ruth have a brief conversation on the meaning of life, and it seems to be while out in the middle of Peter’s Iowa bus tour. This is something that we’re seeing many campaigns go on in real life at the moment; the show has done a good job of trying to mirror that to the best of their ability.

Ultimately, this is just a really great scene with some strong writing, and it shows that these two are probably going to have a complicated relationship for however long that Peter’s campaign continues to go. We don’t have a strong inclination one way or another as to where he will end up in the polls, but given that he’s running as a Democrat against Hillary Clinton, he’s got his work cut out for him trying to get the nomination.

Come back tomorrow, as we will have a full review published for everything that happens!
