Golden Globes 2016: Sophia Bush, Grant Gustin, Jaimie Alexander among TV star presenters

Sunday night on NBC marks the 2016 Golden Globes, and you better believe that there are going to be quite a few notable names in attendance! Many are going to be up for awards (we’ll have more analysis on some of the contenders over the weekend), and then many others are going to be up on stage helping to present trophies to the worthy ones who come out on top.

Entertainment Weekly just announced that Matt Damon, Will Ferrell, Katy Perry, Tom Hanks, John Krasinski, Kate Bosworth, Sophia Bush, Tom Ford, Jonah Hill, and Andy Samberg are among the final crop of people announced to be joining the roster of presenters. They are a part of a list that also includes Amy Adams, Jaimie Alexander, Patricia Arquette, Melissa Benoist, Jim Carrey, Viola Davis, Jamie Foxx, Morgan Freeman, Mel Gibson, Grant Gustin, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Kevin Hart, Amber Heard, Taraji P. Henson, Bryce Dallas Howard, Terrence Howard, Kate Hudson, Ken Jeong, Dwayne Johnson, Michael Keaton, Lady Gaga, Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lopez, Helen Mirren, Julianne Moore, Eddie Redmayne, J.K. Simmons, Jason Statham, Channing Tatum, Mark Wahlberg, and Olivia Wilde.

A pretty impressive group, no? Only so many of those names are really going to be interesting to TV fans (personally, we are big fans of J.K. Simmons from his time on “OZ”), but they do give us a sense as to just how many stars are willing to show up and be potentially roasted by Ricky Gervais … oh, and honor those who were really great this past year. We cannot say that we’re too shocked about any name on the list, although Katy Perry’s involvement is somewhat interesting since music is not really a focus of the Globes much beyond the few music categories. Maybe she’s helping with one of those.
