‘The Blacklist’ season 3 video: Ressler versus Red

If you’re looking for one awesome Reddington quote to get you excited for the return of “The Blacklist” to NBC Wednesday night, perhaps this one is it. We know that Liz Keen could end up fighting for her life thanks to the actions of the Cabal and the Director, and the primary problem she faces here is that there are multiple forces who all claim to understand the proper way to take care of her. What’s the main issue with that? We’re not sure that there is the necessarily willingness for all parties involved to work together.

You can hear the awesome Red quote and more in the sneak peek below (via TV Guide), where Red pushes Ressler to go along with his plans, as he knows supposedly how to protect and care for Liz in a way that the task force may not be able to do. Ressler of course pushes back, feeling as though he knows the right way to handle things and really does not want to get Red involved.

In the end, the prevailing fear is that the task force will not be able to protect Liz from what is to come … and we’re siding with Red on this one that she needs more protection and a plan. We refuse to believe that the task force is completely incompetent (mostly because we’re tired of shows in general viewing the police / FBI as complete dummies), but they may not be able to see the forest for the trees.
