‘Supergirl’ episode 9 video: Will Alex, Kara, Maxwell Lord join forces?

Monday night’s winter premiere of “Supergirl” is going to feature our title character facing off against a wide array of threats, and one of the biggest ones stems still from the most-recent episode: Non. While Astra was captured, her husband was fine to begin his own reign of terror, and Hank is now going to be his hostage.

Is there anything that Alex can do in order to get him back? The sneak peek below is a negotiation of sorts between her and Maxwell Lord, but let’s just say that this does not go particularly well. Maxwell remains as paranoid and anti-DEO has ever before, and seems mostly concerned with getting the Danvers off of his property rather than doing anything else. The interesting thing about this is that while Supergirl is present for the scene, she actually doesn’t say much of anything at all. Alex is the one doing more of the driving in this particular situation.

As for whether or not Hank will be rescued before the end of the episode, we’re certainly hopeful if for no other reason than that we want to see some of his adventures with Kara moving forward this season! We have a hard time envisioning that the show made him into the Martian Manhunter just to allow him to spend the vast majority of his time on the sidelines, not really getting too much in on the action.
