‘Celebrity Big Brother’ January 2016 premiere date revealed

When you are “Celebrity Big Brother,” there is really not that much rest for the wicked. While it doesn’t seem like the most-recent season started all that long ago, Channel 5 has now confirmed that their winter run will be beginning on Tuesday, January 5 at 9:00 p.m. local time.

As for who is going to be appearing on the show, the biggest question we have on our mind is “who really cares?”, given how terrible we consider this casting for the most part. We know that we are writing this article as an American, but even for the last season, we still didn’t know some of the American people that the cast! This show is such a flood of nobodies, and many of them are of familiar archetypes: Take someone from “The Only Way Is Essex,” someone who has been on a soap opera, a person or two from either “The X Factor,” “I’m a Celebrity,” or “Strictly Come Dancing,” a washed-up athlete, and then one or two American Z-listers, and you’ve got yourself a cast.

The Mirror claims that some familiar celebrities who could be entering the show this season are Kim Kardashian’s longtime close friend Jonathan Cheban, Vanilla Ice, former reality show star Tiffany Pollard (who really hasn’t been relevant in years), and for some reason Octomom, who we’d almost successfully forgotten about. We get that it is hard to attract big names to this show given its reputation and the fact that you are taking away technology from them, but we almost wonder if you’d do better if you only did this once a year and weren’t tapping yourself out so quickly.

Oh, and we don’t buy that talk about Scott Disick for a second. There is zero reason why he would want to do this show; he’s already got plenty of money.
