‘Reign’ season 3 spoilers: First look at ‘Wedlock’

The third season of “Reign” is going to be returning to television on Friday, January 8 for a limited run (it’ll be going off the air following the January 22 episode for an indefinite period of time), and while The CW is not exactly being too forthcoming when it comes to details on the future of the show, we at least do have some more information now about “Wedlock,” the January 15 installment that could put Mary in a position where she is asking even more questions regarding the state of Prince Don Carlos. Also, Narcisse is going to be doing pretty much what Narcisse is known for doing (causing trouble), and the episode title seems to be mostly a reference to some of his actions.

Take a look at the synopsis below:

“Mary (Adelaide Kane) becomes suspicious of Prince Don Carlos’ (guest star Mark Ghanimé) true condition and relies on Gideon (Ben Geurens) to help her uncover the truth. Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) makes a shocking discovery which could change the course of her reign over England and forces Dudley (Charlie Carrick) to make a tough decision. Meanwhile, Narcisse (Craig Parker) forces Claude (Rose Williams) to marry someone of his choosing, against her wishes.”

This episode feels like one that will be important to the fates of many characters, but we do have the sense that the most important plot points are still to come. We figure the January 22 installment will need to have some critical scenes in order to keep the anticipation high for what comes the rest of the way. We’ll just have to wait and see if this particular expectation is matched.
