‘The X Factor’ UK rumors: Is Louisa Johnson ‘rush-releasing’ debut album?

The latest news -You would think that the British press would waste so much time churning out stories this close to the holidays, but yet again, they’ve found a way to prove us wrong!

This time, they are doing so with their favorite “X Factor” hot topic in Louisa Johnson, and are claiming based on a listing on iTunes that her debut album could be released within the first few months of the year, which is an incredibly short window when you consider that she’s going to be spending much of that time touring.

Is it possible that Johnson actually does get her debut album out that quickly? The only argument that we can see for it is if Simon Cowell knew he was going to sign her regardless of however she fared this season, so he tried to prepare material for her long before the final. Or, that she is recording an album full of covers, which would be the worst thing ever given that Cowell tried to proclaim that she is the best winner the show has ever had.

Our guess is that the iTunes listing is mostly a placeholder and Louisa’s disc will come out in the late summer / fall, around the time in which the show can be used as a promotional platform for her. Given that she is a young pop singer, she needs that time to find the right material. We’d be fine if it even takes longer for her disc to come out, given that this only seemed to help Ella Henderson in the end.
