‘Scorpion’ season 2 spoilers: How will Sylvester’s dad factor into a story?
Longtime “Scorpion” sleuths may already be very well familiar with the fact that we’re going to be seeing Sylvester’s dad at some point in the second season, and that the two do not have the best relationship in the world.
Now, we come bearing not only news on when this episode airs (Monday, January 18), but also who will be playing the part (if you haven’t heard already): Jeff Fahey! He’s one of our favorite character actors out there, with his stint on “Lost” as Frank Lapidus being especially memorable. He’s also done stints on “Justified” and “Under the Dome” recently, the latter giving him a connection to CBS in some form already.
The episode featuring Fahey is appropriately titled “Son of a Gun”; take a look at the synopsis below:
“Sylvester comes face to face with his estranged father, a retired general, who asks Team Scorpion for help when he believes that a dictator in Africa has uncovered a deadly World War II-era weapon of mass destruction and intends to use it.”
If there is one thing that gives this relationship between father and son a little bit of hope, maybe it’s the fact that Fahey’s character actually does need a little bit of assistance from his son! The two can have a nice bonding moment hopefully through the case, and maybe this sets the stage for future appearances. (We’re really just grasping at any potential opportunity we can to get more of Fahey on the show moving forward.)
