‘Supergirl’ episode 9 spoilers: Can Kara keep the secret alive?

There were a few key revelations made at the end of the “Supergirl” winter finale a little bit earlier this week, with one of the primary ones being that Cat Grant has seemingly figured out the truth about who Kara really is. While she may not have ever admitted to her the truth, the reality here is still that she pieced enough together to be convinced.

Would we tell Kara to finally just give up and admit it in her shoes? That’s easier said than done, given Cat’s position and how ruthless she has chosen to be with other people. Who’s to say what she would do if she was to realize that one of her own employees is responsible for saving so many lives? She could turn it into a spectacle.

The series is returning on January 4 with an episode entitled “Blood Bonds,” and based on the synopsis below it at least appears that she is still going to be in denial mode:

“With Astra in captivity at the DEO, her husband, Non (Chris Vance), captures Hank, leading to a tense standoff between the two sides. Also, Kara continues to refute Cat’s allegations that she is Supergirl.”

We know that we’re minimizing the story of Non at the moment, but the reality here is still that it is easy to figure out more of how this story is going to end. Our guess is that somehow, the heroes will save the day and start to make things right. This is a show that is a little bit more about the emotional ramifications than anything else.
