‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7 winter finale video: The big Sheldon / Amy moment is here

For everyone wanting to see what is going to happen on the winter finale of “The Big Bang Theory” airing on Thursday night, the promo below offers up some of the first insight!

Specifically, this video really revolves around one thing more than anything else: Sheldon and Amy consummating their relationship finally. For those of you who have been wanting to see Sheldon make some sort of sweeping romantic gesture to win Amy back completely, he’s going to do that by potentially forgoing “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” in an effort to celebrate Amy’s birthday. It’s a sweet moment, and one of many that will be coming in the episode.

Also, you’ve got the return of Bob Newhart as Professor Proton a.k.a. Sheldon’s Obi-Wan Kenobi, and we love the self-deprecating nature of the way that he shows up, bemoaning the fact that he is stuck in this sort of afterlife. It’s also funny in a way that Sheldon’s subconscious has a Professor Proton who would be uncomfortable with this role, which is at least how we’re perceiving this unless we’re getting into “The Leftovers” and Sheldon is going to have to visit some sort of purgatory hotel to rid himself of him. (Okay, that was probably too much of a deep dive.)

This episode looks to be fun, and it should be given that it is combining two of the biggest things that we’ve seen on the show in some time: A huge moment for a relationship and “Star Wars.” What is a better combo than these two things?
