‘The X Factor’ UK final rankings: Where Louisa Johnson, Reggie ‘n Bollie, Che Chesterman stand

The latest news -

This weekend, it’s finally here: The beginning of the 2015 final for “The X Factor.” We have three acts left in Louisa Johnson, Reggie ‘n Bollie, and Che Chesterman, and we cannot imagine that these were the three that you predicted going into this.

Is there a clear favorite? Sure, but there’s also a slight chance at an upset. We’ve learned very well over the years that the expected only happens a slight percentage of the time, and it would certainly get the show some more attention at a time it needs it, with so many saying that the show is dead and doing the same thing roughly year in and yet out.

For this final edition of our show rankings, we are basing this mostly on such things as performance quality, voting history to date, and perceived support from without Britain.

3. Che Chesterman (last week: 4) – What Che has going for him is an amazing voice. What he lacks, however, is a personality that really shines through on-camera. We’ve seen it on social media, but we feel like we really still do not know very much about him other than his relationship with his family and his love of singing. The “Hello” flub is mostly behind him, but history suggests that he will not crack the top two.

2. Reggie ‘n Bollie (2) – We’d give Che about a 5% percent chance of winning, while these two guys have earned their way to a solid 30% based on what we’ve seen from them all season. We know their weaknesses (limited vocals, heavy backing tracks), but at the same time we know what they excel in (incredible performances, fantastic verse-writing and personality). These guys are so anti-establishment for this show and so unique, it’s hard to not want to see them win. As for whether or not they can pull it off, they really need to show further how likable they are and give performances that don’t expose their vocal issues.

1. Louisa Johnson (1) – For one, we already sense the press crafting a sympathy narrative with her being sick this week. Aside from that, she is the best well-rounded performer. Her voice is incredible, but she’s versatile enough to do upbeat pop stars. She’ll get a record deal in a heartbeat and a ton of marketing dollars beyond that. Like Che, we don’t really know much about her as a person, but we think that traditional “X Factor” voters looking for quality singing will probably give her the win.
