‘The X Factor’ UK rankings: Where Louisa Johnson, Lauren Murray, Reggie ‘n Bollie stand in top 4

Reggie -

The more things change on “The X Factor,” the more things stay the same. What we mean by that is that going back to the top 13 this season, we’d argue that you could have easily imagined Che Chesterman, Lauren Murray, and Louisa Johnson all making it to the top 4. Reggie ‘n Bollie? Not so much. They’re the act who has gotten hot at the right time, and as a result of that they have a good shot now of running the table and making it to the finale.

With 4th Impact’s elimination, things are obviously changing here in a huge way. We feel like these four acts remaining are a little easier to gauge since most of their popularity comes from within the UK versus internationally, and UK audiences are for the most part the ones voting. We’re looking here at everything from performance quality to screen time to even voting history so far.

4. Che Chesterman (last week: 5) – We’re a little surprised that he made it through this past performance, but we are willing to wager that this happened as a result of people feeling a little sorry for him botching the “Hello” lyrics. We think that his voice is amazing, but we can’t justify putting him higher when other acts have so far remembered their words.

3. Lauren Murray (3) – She was a somewhat-surprising entry into the bottom two over Che this past week, which we were starting to think wasn’t going to happen at all this season. Thanks to that, she could be in a little bit of jeopardy, especially at this stage when it is the public vote that really matters the most.

2. Reggie ‘n Bollie (2) – We really want to put the two guys #1, but we feel like the main thing keeping us from doing it is the sole fact that Little Mix is the only group to win the show, and these guys perform a brand of music that is not popular with everyone.

1. Louisa Johnson (4) – The big rise for Louisa now to #1 is brought on by many things. She had a couple of great performances this past weekend, most in Britain are presently favoring her to win, and it also just so happens that the show seems to be giving her the best places to perform. We don’t think she’s a lock by any means, but things are looking bright for her entering the last two weeks.
