‘Elementary’ season 4, episode 6 preview: Will Morland Holmes become an ‘Irregular’?

Morland -For all of those who enjoy “Elementary,” next week’s new episode / winter finale “The Cost of Doing Business” could prove itself to be rather eventful for Sherlock Holmes. For the past several weeks we’ve had a chance to learn more about John Noble’s character of Morland Holmes, and in this episode we could learn a thing or two more about what happens in the event that he starts to get more intimately involved with some of Sherlock’s investigations. We’re sure that there are going to be some advantages to having him around further, but at the same time there are some drawbacks. If this isn’t what the title is a reference to, then what could it be?

Anyway, the official synopsis for this episode below, and it makes a quick reference to Sherlock and his famous “Irregulars” who have become a fan part of the show:

“Morland offers to act as one of his son’s “Irregular” consultants so that he can lend Sherlock and Joan his considerable resources to help them solve a case.”

For us, there is admittedly a great deal of this story that intrigues us from the vantage point of just having Morland around more. Any excuse to put Noble and Jonny Lee Miller in a room together is something that we’re going to celebrate, and our hope here is that when the dust settles, these two characters will have a better understanding of each other … even though that may be a stretch. After all, their history of disagreement is so much more extensive than it is when it comes to cooperation.
