Is ‘Empire’ season 2, episode 11 new tonight? Also, Taraji P. Henson – James Corden fun

Tonight marks a sad night for fans of “Empire” on Fox, and there is one simple reason for that: There is no new episode coming up. As a matter of fact, you are going to be waiting all the way until March 30 to see what happens next following Mimi Whiteman’s big move on Lucious Lyon, and Hakeem’s stunning decision that could rock his family to their core.

So while you wait, why not have a little bit of fun? The video below comes courtesy of “The Late Late Show with James Corden” this week, and it features show star Taraji P. Henson “auditioning” against the host for the role of Cookie Lyon. Taraji shows that she is more than fine completely belittling Corden to the extent that he is a shell of his former self going into the audition, and since he’s in on the joke, it pretty hilarious stuff.

We imagine that this is far from the last time you are going to be seeing Henson or the “Empire” cast on a talk show over the course of the next few months. They want to ensure that as many people as possible stay interest in their product while they are off the air, and press is really one of the best ways to ensure that this happens. Also, it’s nice to see some of the cast show off their funny side, given that the show can at times be rather serious with all of the devastating going down.
