‘Scream Queens’ season 2: Would Lea Michele return if show renewed?
The season 1 finale of “Scream Queens” wrapped up on Fox Tuesday night, and as a result of that, it only makes sense that many out there would start thinking about what a potential second season would hold.
While we still have to wait for the network to make a decision (this one may not come for many months), one of the show’s stars in Lea Michele (who actually played one of the main Red Devil Killers all along in Hester) made it clear that she would want to come back if given the opportunity. Just take a look at her comments in an E! News postmortem:
“I’ve talked to Ryan about what her role would be in the next season being that she was the killer this year and the fact is that she gets away with it,” Lea reveals. “So Hester would be there. And how funny would it be if all these killings started happening again, and if they found out that she was The Red Devil, she could just be like, I’m really NOT doing it this year, I promise? We’ve talked about how she then would unfold into another season.”
The biggest challenge for the show coming back is going to be finding a way to get some more viewers tuning in live, which is not an easy challenge in the modern day. While this show may be very different from “Glee,” there are some similarities to the final few seasons of that show on the air. The ratings weren’t great, but there was such internet buzz and attention surrounding production that you never completely wrote it out of contention. The press for the show helps to build the buzz.
If you missed it, we talked last night over here about Lea’s reaction to being the killer! Also, you can sign up right away to have some further TV news sent right over to you via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: Fox.)
