‘Into the Badlands’ reportedly renewed for season 2
Update: The post on Wu’s Facebook has since been deleted.
For those who have enjoyed AMC’s “Into the Badlands,” so far, we come bearing great news: The series is seemingly coming back to AMC for a second season following four episodes airing so far this fall.
This news was confirmed in a post on Daniel Wu’s Facebook page, and it included some other ways to help increase the show’s popularity and positive image, including giving it the highest overall grade on IMDb possible. We feel like especially in this case people need to be involved given the uphill battle the show has currently with “The Walking Dead” fans still not thrilled about it replacing “Talking Dead” for a brief period of time on the schedule.
Unfortunately, this is all of the information that is out there at the moment, so we’ll have to wait for an official announcement to get some more details. We’re ultimately not surprised, even though we expected a renewal to come after we learned the ratings for the show without the aforementioned great lead-in. The biggest thing that it has going for it other than the numbers is that it is really working on establishing a great place for martial arts on scripted TV; it is for the most part a subculture only in feature films, and there have not been too many people willing to try this in such a format here.
The final two episodes of “Into the Badlands” will be airing on the 13th and the 20th of this month. We’ll have some more information about them and the future of the show in due time, so be sure to keep checking back for more!

This is great news. Will anyone make it out of the Badlands this season? Who will still be alive to make it to next season? What really lies beyond the Badlands? These are all questions that we can look forward to being answered. Hopefully, they won’t kill off too many of the hot looking women. Maybe they’ll make 10-13 episodes next season. As far as the delay of Talking Dead: In the age of DVR, is this such a big deal? I believe they rerun Talking Dead on another night anyway. I guess it’s a big deal to some people.

It didn’t bother me that much, but I think it’d be best to place the show somewhere else with S2. I don’t want to associate something like Badlands with people hating on it just because it’s not Talking Dead.

I don’t know exactly what the ratings have been week to week. I’m sure AMC likes having the old episode of TWD at 8 pm, the new Episode at 9 pm and Talking Dead at 10 pm. Having the New episode of The Walking Dead as a lead in is great. Where do you move it? 10 pm on Thursdays(surrounded by who knows what?) Mondays at 8 pm is probably too early. I think Better Call Saul starts at 9 pm on Monday(so that’s no good). I’d like to keep it out of any timeslot where it could run into a show on a Network channel that is doing really well. Tuesdays totally, Mondays at 10 pm, Wednesdays at 9 pm and 10 pm are all bad slots. Thursdays at 9 pm isn’t good either.
