‘Outlander’ season 2 spoilers: New photos of Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, and flowers
We’d start off this particular “Outlander” article by telling you to “look at the flowers,” but we are concerned in doing so you’re going to be reminded of a particularly famous quote from “The Walking Dead.” (Okay, maybe in writing this we’re reminding you of it anyway.)
At the bottom of this article, you can see a rather lovely bouquet that is a part of the show’s #OutlanderOfferings, a way to give you some delightful little details to help tide you over into the spring this month. They have already released the first teaser trailer, and this is just another little thing to be excited about when it comes to the new Parisian setting. This is a place that is much less open, more political, and has a much broader range of colors and fashion than Scotland.
Just in case you are looking at something a little more character-focused, we’ve also got for you below a new look at Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) in the city, where they are rather clearly embracing the style and the grace that comes with being in the city. The two are entering a new world together, and in many ways it is nice that they have one another to lean on. While Jamie has been to France before, a substantial amount of time has passed.
Hopefully, Starz will be kind enough to release some further teasers throughout the month. Given that the new season will almost surely not premiere until April, though, we imagine that there will not be too much of a hurry to release a longer trailer or anything more in-depth.

Can you answer me this, Mr and Mrs. Carter:
If Starz were really serious about showing its support for “Outlander” in competition for Golden Globes, Emmys, and other industry awards, why would it not have renewed “Outlander” for a third season before now, ahead of these prestigious nominations? Starz renewed the dismal “Ash vs. Evil Dead” for a second year BEFORE its premiere in late October, as a Halloween treat. Before the third season of “Black Sails” even airs, Starz has renewed that male-centric franchise for a fourth season (most of the women in it are prostitutes). About a show that appeals to women, like “Outlander” (even in its repackaging as an epic narrative about two men duking it out), Starz does NOTHING substantive to show its support. Intelligent viewers and industry insiders–the people who select candidates for Golden Globe and Emmy nominations and eventually vote in the winners–can read this handwriting on the wall: It spells disdain and indifference on the part of Starz toward the “Outlander” enterprise.
