‘The X Factor’ UK results preview: Are Che Chesterman, 4th Impact, Lauren Murray in danger of elimination?
Let’s start by stating who for sure is in jeopardy / who should probably go home at this point: Che Chesterman. Our heart goes out to him, since he obviously did not mean to botch the lyrics for Adele’s smash hit “Hello.” However, flubbing the lyrics at this point in the competition is a very bad look, and one that probably does mean that he will be sent home with this as a part of his legacy. We wish that it wasn’t the case for him here, but at this point what can he do? He’s been in the bottom before, so the potential for him to land there is present.
Now, we have to discuss 4th Impact and the way in which the show has not done them any favors. We think that they had two really great performances this weekend, but we think that the show placed them in spots where it easier for casual fans to forget about them. This is in opposition to Louisa Johnson, who had a chance to both start and finish the show, further proving that she seems to be the act that producers are most interested in seeing win. We’re not saying that it is fixed for her or anything like that, but they’re putting her in a good spot. (4th Impact by far has been the most popular act on CarterMatt, but we have an international readership; we think they’re probably safe, but bookies and people in the UK seem to disagree with us. Maybe they have better statistical data than we do.)
The only other person we think could be in danger is Lauren Murray; while we didn’t think Reggie ‘n Bollie were the best that they’ve ever been by any means on this past episode of the show, the producers did put them in a position where they could be remembered, and the judges were also high on what they brought to the table.
