‘Girl Meets World’ season 2, episode 25 video: ‘Girl Meets the New Year’ and Riley’s decision

While “Girl Meets World” may not be airing on the Disney Channel until we get around to December 4, the network this weekend was still kind enough to release the first promo for the upcoming episode “Girl Meets the New Year.” What did it contain? Think of it as a pretty far-encompassing look at everything that will be happening on this particular holiday.

Let’s start first and foremost with the fact that Charlie is still around, and while he seems to clearly care for Riley, the problem is that her heart still lies elsewhere … with Lucas. This is even more problematic when you consider the feelings that Maya also has for him.

Just in case you are wondering where some of these feelings have been in the past two episodes, the simple answer there is that the show filmed many episodes out of order from where they are actually airing now. For example, “Girl Meets Belief” and “Girl Meets the Forgiveness Project” both filmed before “Girl Meets Texas,” and this is actually the first episode to air that actually could reference those events in a major way. Moving forward, there are still some episodes pre-“Girl Meets Texas” in the can, but there’s also the big finale that will feature the characters moving on from middle school.

We imagine having some more news on this episode before it comes around to airing, so our simple advice is to stay tuned! Let’s just hope that this episode proves to be worth the wait.
