‘Scorpion’ season 2, episode 10 preview: An outbreak (and a search for answers)

“Scorpion” has made telling the story of Megan a priority over the past couple of weeks, and we really want to hope that there is not a particularly somber reason for that. The synopsis for next week’s “Arrivals and Departures” does not give too much information away one way or another about the character’s fate, though it does suggest that hard times are indeed coming:

“When Team Scorpion and Walter’s parents visit Megan in the hospital as her health deteriorates, they are quarantined after a deadly fungus outbreak threatens to infect everyone.”

When we had the first opportunity to check out the promo below, we expected it to be particularly sad and hyping up some incredibly-dramatic scenes. While you get a little bit of that when it comes to Sylvester, it instead reminds you that we’re dealing with geniuses (just in case you somehow forgot) and also tells you a little bit more about the outbreak story.

We were concerned at one point that this episode could be the fall finale for the show, but that is not the case. We can confirm that there is at least one more episode coming in “The Old College Try,” which is coming your way on December 7. There were 12 episodes that aired in the fall last season, so with that it wouldn’t be too much of a shock to learn that there were actually two episodes coming in the month of December.
