‘Talking Dead’ spoilers: Michael Rooker, Paget Brewster, and a delayed start after ‘Into the Badlands’

Sunday night’s new episode of “Talking Dead” is almost here, and the first thing that we should note is a change in the air time. For the next few weeks, the show is going to be airing later thanks to “Into the Badlands,” the exciting new drama coming on AMC. It’ll be airing tonight at 10:55 p.m. Eastern.

So what is the lineup when the show is going to come on the air? It’s an impressive one thanks to the timing of it all. The new episode coming up is very much focused on the Daryl Dixon character, and with that, we are happy that the man behind Daryl’s brother Merle in Michael Rooker is coming back to the show. He’s still beloved among many longtime fans and also is active in the convention circuit; if you’re not going to bring on someone who is a current cast member, the next-best thing is someone who has been on the show before.

Granted, we feel like Rooker’s presence could further along some of the conspiracy theories out there that tonight’s episode is not the one where Glenn will turn back up alive or dead. If it was, wouldn’t the show tease a “surprise guest,” since they would want Steven Yeun to be there probably after they reveal his fate one way or another. (It is VERY possible that we are ultimately reading way too much into this. With this sort of thing, we often do.)

We will have some further updates in the near future when it comes to this episode; even if there is no Glenn reveal, let’s just hope for one that is entertaining and accomplishes more than what we saw last week.
