‘Doctor Who’ season 9, episode 9 video: Steven Moffat, Peter Capaldi set up ‘Sleep No More’

Doctor Who

This weekend, we’ve got another new “Doctor Who” episode for you in “Sleep No More,” and based on what the show’s executive producer Steven Moffat is saying in the video below, this one could be the ultimate in nightmare fuel.

So what are the producers doing at this point that is so scary? It really comes down to introducing a new villain first and foremost who is so terrifying that they may scare children and even some adults to know end. We’re going to outer space, as well, and that is something that Peter Capaldi notes always yields some interesting stories. Just being in space for one is a scary concept in itself, given that this is a place where oxygen is scarce, and just one wrong move can lead to not only your death, but the death of all those around you.

We feel like this episode will be for the most part a fantastic exercise in exploration, and also proof that sometimes, it really is best to take a step back and relax. The story of “Sleep No More” (and its title) is derived from a new technology that allows people to get all of the benefits of sleep in a tiny period of time. Therefore, it technically will feel as though like they will never be forced to go to bed.

We’ll have some other updates on this episode soon, including a further in-depth look at everything that is coming down the road! Stay tuned…
