NBC’s ‘The Voice’ iTunes results: Jordan Smith, Jeffrey Austin, Amy Vachal early favorites
This time around, though, there is a much larger margin of error than usual thanks to the fact that only three artists from each team are going through Wednesday, and of these three, only two of them are picked by the voters. The coach will have the final say among the remaining artists.
Therefore, we’re only really willing to declare two people safe moving into the next round: Jordan Smith of Team Adam (who is sitting at #3 with his “Halo”), and Jeffrey Austin of Team Gwen with his “Say You Love Me” (#25). We feel good about Amy Vachal, but at #30 we’re not going to call her moving forward with Adam just yet. The same goes for Gwen’s Ellie Lawrence at #45.
The person we’re most surprised about is Viktor Kiraly at #81, given that he came into this show with at least some sort of following. Also interesting is that Jordan’s audition song “Chandelier” is actually charting higher than recent songs from Shelby Brown, Chance Pena, and Blaine Mitchell. In other words, the guy’s totally winning this show unless someone stuns us tonight.
