‘The Blacklist’ season 3 spoilers: What ‘Kings of the Highway’ means for Liz, Red
The first thing that we find strange about the upcoming November 19 episode of “The Blacklist” comes in the name itself: “Kings of the Highway.” The majority of the episode names this season have been singular Blacklisters / characters who are important to the direction of the season. It’s possible that the Kings of the Highway are some sort of mysterious biker gang with extraordinary abilities, but even if that is the case, this is still a slight modification from what the show typically gives us.
Today, NBC released in full the synopsis for this episode, which makes it clear that Liz and Red are going to have to spend at least a little bit of time apart:
“Red (James Spader) and Liz (Megan Boone) are unexpectedly separated from each other when Red falls into a dangerous situation. Samar (Mozhan Marno) makes a risky decision to help Liz while Tom (Ryan Eggold) and Cooper (Harry Lennix) continue on their expedition to exonerate Liz.”
What this synopsis tells us already is that the show is still not hurrying the story along when it comes to clearing Liz’s name, and we have to be honest: We’ll be rather fine if they don’t do it at any point soon. Sure, we don’t want the show to become “The Fugitive” or change its DNA permanently, but there is no sense in rushing things along just to make the show a little more similar to the one that may remember from past years.

I too would like to see Liz help Red when he is in trouble during this episode. Unlike Passinthru I do not want Tom And Liz back together. He gave her name to a known assassin! There should be no coming back from that.
The only part of Tom and Liz that is Red’s fault is that he brought them close together. Tom was just to watch her in order to keep her safe, not actually meet her and make her fall in love with him. That was all Tom’s doing.

Agree with Uninvisible, and would like to see Red learn to accept Tom & Liz love each other in their screwed-up way (much of which is Red’s fault) and try to help them have life together.

I want to see Liz help Red this episode…its time to show her strength and that she cares for Red just as much as he cares for her.
