‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 7 spoilers: What’s next for Jo after big reveal?

A couple of weeks ago with “The Vampire Diaries,” we were advising Alaric that at this given point in time, there was really nothing better that he could do for himself than try to move forward with his life. It was not meant to be any sort of slam against the Jo character, but the reality was that she was dead. We’re not sure how many more ways this show can come up with to revive people who seem to be six feet under.

Well, luckily for Alaric, they found another way! Jo is back, but the twist here is that she is hardly the same Jo that we saw on the show previously. She doesn’t really know who she is, if she’s Jo, and what she is supposed to feel for Alaric. For Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, this has to be a fun story to play, even if for fans it may be hard to wrap your head around it.

So how is she describing the journey of her character moving forward? Speaking in a new chat on the subject to TVLine, she passed along the following:

“[Her journey is about] self-discovery, and a lot of it. She’ll be figuring out who she is and where she came from and what’s happening. It’s like a baby being born.”

By the time we make it to the end of the first part of this season, we imagine that we’ll have some further news one way or another as to what is going to happen to Jo. No matter what it is, let’s just hope that it doesn’t devastate Alaric further.
