‘Blue Bloods’ season 6, episode 7 preview: Why are Frank and Erin at odds?

Blue Bloods season 6While there is conflict on “Blue Bloods” in the majority of episodes, it admittedly rarely goes anything like this. In the sneak peek below, you can see Erin and Frank Reagan go it at verbally in a way that they rarely do, with there being a fairly simple reason why: Tension over whether or not Erin is deliberately going after police officers for fixing tickets with the help of the District Attorney.

The relationship between the police and the D.A.’s office is often a tenuous one, so what makes this situation different? It’s simply a matter of family. Frank feels as though his daughter has always done a ray of support for the NYPD, and this is one of the few times where he has felt something a little bit different from her. The tension between them spills over to some family business, and will family dinner ever be the same? Sure, we are exaggerating a little bit here, but we are still talking about serious business for this family. This could break them if they don’t get it together.

What these two may need at this point is either a liaison, or someone to step in and at least allow one of them to see the other’s side. These sort of things are important in almost any conflict resolution, regarding of whether or not you are talking about this show or something else.

We will be back on Friday night with a full review of this episode; let’s just say that for now, we expect this to be a fascinating hour.
