‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3, episode 6 review: A Lash shocker like no other
Here we were, thinking for most of this season of “Agents of SHIELD” that Lash was some villain on the periphery with no tangible connection to any of the members of SHIELD.
We’re not going to waste any time in this particular article before getting to the good stuff. Remember how we were thinking that Andrew could be dead? Well, it turns out that he is actually Lash instead. Blair Underwood’s character transformed for us in a story that was passed along to Agent May, not long after she resumed kicking butt and taking names for SHIELD alongside Bobbi Morse. The two were on the hunt for Grant Ward, and clearly found so much more than they were expecting to in the search.
As for where this story is going, we saw at the tail end of the episode a little bit of something with her and Daisy. Basically, this was the show’s way of taunting us about the fact that we know something that the characters do not. He’s looking for Lincoln now, and that could prove problematic for him.
While May was learning this terrible news, Coulson was learning a thing or two about Rosalind and her motives with the Inhuman. Sure, what she is doing in capturing them / holding them prison could be considered terrible, but she believes she’s in the right. Her backstory is one where she wants to cure others thanks to what happened to her husband, and she thinks of being Inhuman as a disease. The most dangerous people are the ones that have managed to view their actions through a specific moral lens, and that makes her all the more conflicting to us.
There were some excellent moments in this hour, and as a result, we’re not all that upset at all over the lack of Fitz – Simmons progress. It was nice to touch in with some of these characters. Grade: B+.
