‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 17, episode 7 preview: Dodds tries to impress Benson

Are you starting to get used to Andy Karl on “Law & Order: SVU”? It is probably a little too early to say that you are fully accustomed to having him around, but there are a few things that we already like about the new guy … including that he is doing everything that he can in order to prove to Benson that he is on her side.

The sneak peek below specifically shows that Dodds is doing what he can to ensure that he and Benson leave work at the same time, mostly because he wants to show her that his work ethic is on par. The two also have a discussion as to how to handle differences of opinion, and she makes it clear to him that so far he is doing a really good job, and therefore there is no reason to explicitly be in his own head as much as he is when it comes to his performance on the job.

This entire sneak peek is pretty compelling to us, mostly because it gives you some insight into the characters and what their future dynamic will be.

As for the case of Wednesday’s episode, you’re going to see plenty of it soon. As you may have heard, it revolves around a pregnancy scandal within a reality TV family more than likely inspired by “19 Kids and Counting” and the whole Josh Duggar scandal that took place there.
