‘The X Factor’ UK results preview: Are Bupsi, Reggie ‘n Bollie, Mason Noise, Max Stone in trouble?

X FactorSunday night marks the first edition of the “X Factor” results show of the season, and while you would think that these would be fairly predictable, they often aren’t. The act common referred to as the “joke act” does not always go home first, and this is further complicated on this particular season by there not really being a joke act.

If we were to say that the act who gave the weakest performances last night should go home, we’d say that Bupsi is in danger. She really can sing, but there was something about her packaging, her song choice, and her performance that when the dust settled, just felt completely and utterly dated. There was not much about it that stood out from the pack, and we don’t see it generating much buzz among voters.

However, she’s far from the only person to be worried about. While Reggie ‘n Bollie may be current and a lot of fun, they are not the sort of group that tends to perform well. Voters typically are biased more towards singers than performers, and they already have received internet backlash over claims that they used a heavy backing track to supposedly improve their vocals.

Then, you’ve got someone like Max Stone, who we legitimately felt was very good. His primary concern at the moment should just by the notion of whether or not audiences know him well enough. Not only has he received little to no airtime at the moment, but he also performed early in the show.

There are a few locks who should not be going anywhere: Che Chesterman, Louisa Johnson, 4th Impact, and Anton Stephans. There’s one from each category. We do also wonder about Mason Noise, just because of his previous backlash.
