‘Outlander’ season 2 notes: Costumes on Halloween and a progress report
The tweet below from the show’s official account makes it clear that a whopping 6,500 hangers have been used for season 2 production so far, which is absolutely insane. Then again, when you think about it, can you really be that surprised? Just remember that we are going to France for the second season, and that is a place and time period where fashion was incredibly important. While the world of Scotland was very real and authentic, even it could not compare costume-wise to what we are going to see in season 2. The show used Prague for many stand-in scenes of Paris, but that is fine with us given that this is an incredibly beautiful location in its own right. (The rest of season 2 will be filmed in Scotland.)
Here’s one other fascinating fact from executive producer Maril Davis: Earlier this week marked the 300th day of filming the show. That’s almost a full year! That’s a ton of work, so congratulations to the cast and crew for all of their hard work getting to this point. We feel pretty confident that it’ll be worth it and then some.
The second season of “Outlander” will more than likely premiere this spring on Starz. Stay tuned for more news!
