‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Further news on Gorilla Grodd’s return

For all of those who have been curious to see what Gorilla Grodd could be up to next on “The Flash,” we’ve got some of the first news now courtesy of the synopsis below for “Gorilla Warfare,” the upcoming November 17 episode that features the grand return of the classic comic-book villain:

“Grodd returns to Central City and kidnaps Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker). Barry (Grant Gustin) and team race to find her before it’s too late. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) plans his first date with the new barista at Jitters, Kendra Saunders (guest star Ciara Renée) and Patty (guest star Shantel VanSanten) begins to suspect Barry is hiding something from her.”

Nothing in this should come as altogether an enormous surprise for many reasons, starting with the fact that there have already been teasers about Caitlin becoming almost the Fay Wray in this situation for what is a take on the classic “King Kong” story. We imagine that this is also going to be one of the more expensive episodes of the season thanks to the visual effects; maybe, it will even surpass the King Shark reveal in terms of greatness (even though that could be difficult). We do at least know that from a visual perspective, “Grodd Lives” was one of the most-popular installments of season 1.

We are not entirely sure that Grodd is ever going to become a Big Bad on this show just because he is too hard a character to properly portray on TV. Still, we will gladly take an inclusion of him here wherever we can.
