TV Quick Hits: Rupert Grint set for NBC pilot; ‘Supergirl’ spoilers; ‘Chicago Med’ promo

Rupert Grint trying TV once more – Years ago, former “Harry Potter” star Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) was attached to one of our favorite pilots to never make it to air in CBS’ “Super Clyde.” It was silly, funny, and really hurt only by the fact that it was for a network that is very risk-averse, and it is out of their definite wheelhouse.

Does he have a better chance with his latest project? We’d say to bet on it. Grint is set to star in an NBC drama pilot revolving around a comic created by his late father entitled “Imperial City.” Rupert’s character believes that he owns every issue, only to discover that not only is that not the case, but that the entire world “created” by his father may be real … and he may be called on to save it. There is curiously a superhero component here reminiscent of “Super Clyde,” so we’re curious to see how this works. While this is being billed as a drama, Silvio Horta (“Ugly Betty”) and Aaron Kaplan (“The Mysteries of Laura”) have enough humor on their resume to know that this will probably have funny moments.

What’s next on “Supergirl” – Specifically, what we have for you are the first details of the November 16 episode “How Does She Do It?”, which will feature both Cat Grant’s son and also Lucy Lane seeking out Jimmy Olsen. Take a look:

“Kara’s two identities are stretched thin when Supergirl must protect National City from a series of bombings and Kara is tasked with babysitting Cat’s son, Carter. Also, James is conflicted when his ex-girlfriend Lucy Lane seeks to rekindle their relationship.”

“Chicago Med” preview – Finally, take one more look at “Chicago Med” before its premiere on NBC November 17. this promo does contain some new footage!
