World Series 2015: Andy Grammer performs National Anthem day after ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Andy -

Clearly, this week has turned out to be a rather busy one for Andy Grammer.

Last night, the singer (known for his recent hit “Honey, I’m Good”) found himself safe and with solid scores on “Dancing with the Stars.” As for what he was up to on Tuesday, let’s just say that he was performing the National Anthem at one of the biggest venues to known to mankind: The World Series. Vocally, we think that he did a great job, but of course Twitter reaction is mixed because it always is, and there are of course the few people acting as though they would go up and sing the Anthem perfectly if they were given a chance.

Next to hosting the Oscars, singing the National Anthem may be the most thankless job of any that is out there for an entertainer. You do it out of the honor of being asked, but most people these days are more prepared to come at you if you do something they don’t like. The ratio of that to the people praising you at this point may be close to even.

While Andy is continuing his musical pursuits, he remains a part of the dance competition and will have to prepare at some point this week for Monday’s show with pro Allison Holker. There are only seven Stars remaining in the competition, and we figure that somewhere between three and four of them will be there for the final night, depending on how the show decides to run things this year.
