‘The X Factor’ UK: Is Simon Cowell teasing Louis Walsh return again?

X FactorAt this point, we just tend to think that Simon Cowell is toying with people when it comes to getting Louis Walsh back on “The X Factor” again. The Irish music manager departed the show before this season, but ever since then the British press has salivated over a potential return almost like this is some sort of sure thing … even though it’s not in any shape or form.

As a matter of fact, we’d be surprised if it does happen. It would look like a complete disaster for the show to just fire one of their judges in the middle of the season, and if you are bumping up the number of judges to five, that feels like an unnecessary amount of time to spend on people who are not contestants on the show.

Speaking in a new interview with “Good Morning Britain,” though (per the Mirror), Cowell further fueled the fire when it comes to a Louis return by saying the following:

“I’ve got the ghost of Louis everywhere at the moment. What’s so weird is that when he was on the show I’d always have people complaining about him, now he’s gone it’s like,‘why isn’t he there’.”

Simon really hits the nail on the head here. While it may not be that easy for everyone to remember, almost everything that we were hearing about Walsh for the longest time were constant stories about how he wasn’t great on the show anymore and how the ratings would be higher without him. Now, most of these same stories suggest that Simon bringing him back could lead to a ratings bump. Well, which is it? We don’t have that answer.
