‘The Originals’ season 3 spoilers: How do you protect Rebekah?

While we cannot even confirm just yet that Rebekah will have a presence in the flesh for the upcoming November 12 episode of “The Originals” entitled “Beautiful Mistake,” we can still tell you this: She will find some unique ways to make her presence felt still.

The CW this week unveiled a rather extensive synopsis for this hour, making it clear that Elijah and Freya are going to be teaming up at some point in order to make sure that Rebekah stays safe … but this of course is not going to be the only thing transpiring in New Orleans and beyond:

“When Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Freya (Riley Voelkel) realize that Rebekah may be the target of The Strix’s latest plan, they do whatever it takes to protect her. Elsewhere, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) spends time with Aurora (guest star Rebecca Breeds) to figure out where her loyalties lie, while a dangerous run-in with a member of The Strix leads Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) to make an unsettling discovery.

“Finally, an elaborate scheme created by Lucien (guest star Andrew Lees) leaves Cami (Leah Pipes) faced with a difficult decision to make and Detective Kinney (guest star Jason Dohring) fighting for his life.”

Could the show really do away with Jason Dohring at this particular point in the story? We’re not writing it out as a possibility, if for no other reason than that he will have been around for at least a nice little arc at the time in which this episode airs. We’re still optimistic that he could stick around, if for no other reason than that we don’t want to believe the network would give away too major a plot point that explicitly.
