‘The Good Wife’ season 7 spoilers: First look at Peter Gallagher
At the moment, Peter Gallagher certainly seems to be getting the lion’s share of the action when it comes to great guest-starring roles on long-running TV shows. The former “Covert Affairs” star has a great role as-is on “Law & Order: SVU,” and he is set now to begin an arc on “The Good Wife” as Ethan Carver, a man who will be tied to a case that Diane is working on.
The first episode, and the one referenced in the photo above, is “Taxed,” which will air on Sunday, October 25. The synopsis below gives you at least a little bit of a sense as to what is going to be coming up:
“Alicia clashes with the bond court judge when she agrees to support a client’s plea of innocence in a shoplifting case. Also, Diane is coerced by her client’s counsel, Ethan Carver (Peter Gallagher), to argue against her own beliefs in a case about physician assisted suicide.”
Gallagher is one of many excellent guest stars appearing on this season; throughout the fall, we’re going to see more of Margo Martindale as Ruth, and Michael J. Fox is going to be showing up as the ever-notorious Louis Canning. Fox has become such a consistent presence on the show over the years that it is no longer particularly surprising when he appears. We have to assume that he is far from done pestering his old rival in Alicia.
