‘Chicago Fire’ season 4 spoilers: How will Dawson’s pregnancy change things between her, Casey?

Chicago Fire -The season 4 premiere of “Chicago Fire” is coming up before Tuesday night, and there are a wide array of different stories that we are going to see unfold. Still, at the forefront of most of the action is going to be the relationship between Casey and Dawson. She learned that she is pregnant at the end of season 3, and to go along with Casey’s capture, these two have a lot to discuss.

So is there any way that this capture could actually be a good thing for the two of them? We’re not sure about that, but the various circumstances that the two are facing in their lives could end up bringing them closer together. This is at least according to what showrunner Matt Olmstead had to say in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter:

“There’s a lot of complications and drama to play in terms of, they weren’t even a couple, really, and this news hits them. Then it’s well, are you coming back with both feet because of the news or because you feel a certain way? What he went through makes him realize how special she is to him and how important she is to him. It affects her job because you can’t be an active duty firefighter if you’re pregnant so she has to move over to arson investigation. It’s given us story engine really for the first six, seven episodes.”

As for a potential wedding between these two characters, Olmstead claims that anything is possible … but it’s not coming up in the near future. Ultimately, there are a lot of other important matters for the show to take on.
