‘The X Factor’ UK: What Mason Noise said about controversial exit

X FactorOn this past episode of “The X Factor,” we definitely had one of the more intense moments of the season as singer Mason Noise, despite being a pretty talented guy, was eliminated almost by default after getting into a heated argument with executive producer Simon Cowell.

The chaos began for Mason when he told the audience that they should all record him on the show, arguing that since his air time was for the most part limited on his first appearance, he wanted to ensure that he had it here. This infuriated Simon, who took this to be an attack on his program and a completely ungrateful attitude from the singer. The two went back and forth for a while until Simon demanded that he “shut up,” among other things.

In case you were wondering what Mason felt about the confrontation at the time it happened, here is what he reportedly said to the Mirror:

“I wanted to tell the audience that I’m all about the art and I only got 47 seconds [of airtime] after a 10 minute audition, that is when Simon went ‘whoa, whoa, whoa…’. They turned my microphone down, they turned my hype man’s microphone off, they turned Grimmy’s mic down … He didn’t even have a chance to say anything. Simon Cowell shut him down every time he tried.”

Here’s the issue for Mason: If you are appearing on Simon’s show, he’s going to do whatever he wants to you if you start going out of line. We feel like in terms of sentiment, we understand where the guy is coming from. He clearly wants to be a star, and to take advantage of his opportunities. He just needed to come up with a way to do it that was a little more fun, and a little less combative.
