‘Blue Bloods’ season 6, episode 3 preview: Does a reporter get in the way of a case?

Blue Bloods season 6Some reporters are certainly more ambitious than others when it comes to getting scoop; to go along with that, some are also rather reckless. In the preview below for Friday night’s new episode of “Blue Bloods,” you get a sense as to what happens when one takes advantage of being in a dangerous situation to get a better angle on a true-crime story.

At first, this particular episode starts off simple enough, with a reporter joining the NYPD on a ride-along. However, everything changes the moment that he is fired at and put into a life-threatening situation. As Frank points out, this was probably not about targeting a reporter, and the assailant likely believed that he was just a member of the force. This reporter’s experience is going to propel him further into putting together the pieces of what happened, and unfortunately for Danny and Baez, he does not seem altogether interested in making their jobs easier. He’s about the truth, even if some of it is harmful to the force.

The preview does not give you a sense ultimately as to where this story is going to lead, though at one point Linda does clearly warn Danny about the danger that is out there. We have a feeling he is aware of all of this already thanks to what we’ve seen so far this season, from a serial killer who eventually escaped to trying to stop a potential terrorist threat in the premiere episode.
