‘The Flash’ season 2, episode 2 preview: Jay Garrick, Patty Spivot arrive in ‘Flash of Two Worlds’

The Flash -The season 2 premiere of “The Flash” on The CW Tuesday night accomplished a wide array of different things. For one, it brought us the immediate aftermath of the Singularity, and within the first couple of minutes, we seemingly lost a life to go along with it. (If you watched the premiere, you know what we are talking about.) Earth-2 is starting to become more and more of a thing, and that is why on next week’s “Flash of Two Worlds,” Jay Garrick is going to make his presence felt in a rather huge way.

Teddy Sears of “Masters of Sex” fame is going to play the part of the “first” Speedster, who is going to arrive with a very important message about the season 2 Big Bad. Not only that, but this episode is also set to introduce Patty Spivot, a young woman who could become a key part of Barry’s world in the episodes to come.

If you have not see the synopsis for this episode just yet, take a look at it below:

“Jay Garrick (guest star Teddy Sears), a mysterious man from Earth-2, appears at S.T.A.R. Labs with a dire warning about an evil speedster named Zoom, who is set on destroying The Flash.  Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team must decide if they can trust this stranger even as they face yet another powerful meta-human.  Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) must deal with a determined officer named Patty Spivot (guest star Shantal VanSanten) who wants to join his meta-human task force.”

Ultimately, expect to see Jay bring a new energy to the show, and also to serve as a mentor in ways that we have not see other characters in the past. He is more of a lighthearted mentor, and does not have the inner darkness of a Harrison Wells.
