‘NCIS’ season 13, episode 3 preview: Bishop and McGee’s undercover mission

NCIS -

Tuesday night’s new episode of “NCIS” features a story that should be fun, even if it is not the most creative thing that we’ve ever seen in the world. If you look at almost any crime procedural that has gone on longer than three or four years, there is probably at least one episode about characters going undercover as normal people in the suburbs. You’ve seen it with characters who are romantically intertwined and this turns into a real-world test for them, and you’ve also seen it for characters who aren’t together, and are having to pretend that they actually like each other in that way.

The sneak peek below clearly is on the latter, since Bishop and McGee are people in separate relationships who have to act in love in order to investigate some neighbors. They are lovey-dovey outdoors, and then the moment they step inside, you can feel the tension. Clearly, having to spend this much time with each other is taking a toll on them.

By the end of this episode, maybe we’ll get a sense as to whether or not this case changes the friendship between Sean Murray and Emily Wickersham’s characters; we have heard some scoop already that Bishop may face some issues in her marriage this season, brought on mostly by the fact that she is spending as much time as she is at the office, or in this case, out in the field. Jake’s understanding, but probably only to a certain degree.

If you’ve been wondering when you’ll be seeing McGee’s other half Delilah, the good news is that she’ll be turning up in the very near future.
