‘Chicago Fire’ season 4 spoilers: How Casey and Dawson work together in ‘A Taste of Panama City’

Chicago Fire -The “Chicago Fire” season 3 premiere on October 13 is going to need to pick up, at least to a certain extent, close to where the season 3 finale left off: By addressing just what happened to Casey as a result of Nesbitt’s actions. Sooner or later, we know that the character will turn back up, and when he does, he and Dawson will certainly have a lot to deal with thanks to the revelation that she is pregnant.

We’re not sure that early on in season 4, though, the pregnancy will be on the forefront of the story thanks to everything going on with Nesbitt, and based on the synopsis below for the October 20 episode entitled “A Taste of Panama City,” this is definitely going to be the case:

“Members of the firehouse are frustrated with their inability to help Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker), whose job is on the line pending an internal investigation in the aftermath of a complicated call to a fire. Meanwhile, Lt. Severide (Taylor Kinney) struggles to accept his smaller role and adjusts to the presence of Capt. Patterson (guest star Brian White), his new commanding officer. Dawson (Monica Raymund) shakes things up on the work front and Casey (Jesse Spencer) attempts to find a crucial piece of evidence in his ongoing investigation against Nesbitt (guest star Eric Mabius). Elsewhere, Herrmann (David Eigenberg) struggles to keep the peace with Molly’s newest neighbors.”

We know that there is a lot to focus on in here, but are we the only ones out there who still appreciate deeply all of the Herrmann sideplots with Molly’s? There are so many super-serious moments on this show, and we feel like getting these helps to ground the show a little bit in a world that is not always about fighting fires. These characters have more going on in their lives, but we don’t always get to see it.
